Meet Doctor Ryan
Dr. Ryan Markowitz
is a chiropractic physician with a passion for physical rehabilitation and evidence based treatment. Dr. Ryan began his career in healthcare by studying exercise physiology at Ohio University. During his time at OU, he became passionate about conservative musculoskeletal healthcare. Having gone through knee surgery and physical therapy himself, Dr. Ryan knows the struggles of overcoming injury and returning to one’s full athletic potential. After graduating from Ohio University in 2021, he decided to attend chiropractic school at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Throughout his time in chiropractic school, Dr. Ryan attended many continuing education courses focused on sports performance, manual therapeutic interventions, post operative rehabilitation, and exercise prescription. He was also a tutor for multiple courses, including anatomy and physiology. Dr. Ryan became the President of Forward Thinking Chiropractic Alliance, an on campus organization focused on furthering the chiropractic profession through evidence based diagnosis and treatment. He was also heavily involved in Rehab2Performance and Motion Palpation Institute. During his third year at Logan University, Dr. Ryan was selected to participate in the sports rotation, and got to work with athletes at Harris Stowe University in St. Louis. There, he found his passion for working with active individuals of all ages and abilities.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys running and hiking with his wife, Gina. You’ll find him enjoying Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the various metro parks around Northeast Ohio. He also enjoys reading books and building legos.
